The most beautiful holiday wreaths can be created from the most authentic and meaningful found objects, and that is especially true here in the low country. Using a 14” vine wreath as the starting “canvas”, students will be provided with many traditional low country natural materials including Spanish moss, grasses, and shells. The teaching artist will discuss various ways to use these, how to use collective grouping of objects for emphasis, how to add raffia, grasses or ribbons to accentuate a natural wreath, and how to display wreaths in unique and trendy ways for the holidays. Materials will be provided, but students are encouraged to bring in their own special unique objects to use in their own wreath design. #event
