In this class, students will create an adorable 2-dimensional needle felted highland cow — or as the Scots say, a "coo!" You will choose between two charming designs: a rustic coo holding a wee thistle, or a bonnie coo with curles hanging over one eye. You will learn techniques and tips to build up texture and dimension using wool fibers to create a lovely finished piece, mounted in a hoop, ready to hang and enjoy. As time allows, you may add simple embroidery details to personalize your piece.
Your instructor, Alicia, has years of experience and runs her own Etsy shop, Foothills Fiberworks. All materials and instruction will be provided.

Time: 2.5–3 hours You are welcome to bring food and beverages of your choice.
Price: $45 includes all materials and instruction + 4.5% booking fee per attendee (due at time of registration to save your spot).
More about this teacher: A Maryville native, Alicia Peery spent 25 years serving the city schools as a librarian and yearbook advisor, sharing her artistic skills with students along the way. She comes from a family of fiber artists, quilters, illustrators, and painters, and creativity has always been central to her life. She believes that everyone carries a creative spark waiting to be nurtured.
