Our instructors will take you meandering through beautiful meadows and stunning overlooks of vast wilderness that will be yours alone. This experience offers more opportunity to have the bird on your glove with close up views of the hawk's innate behaviors in their natural habitat. The long flights through old oaks and graceful glides across open fields are awe inspiring. This class is offered at the Sky Falconry Ranch in Alpine September through mid-July. Private Raptor Experience Our most exclusive experience at Sky Falconry offers you and your guests two hours being immersed in the world of falconry. "Spots" listed on the calendar include two people. Our private raptor outing is the only class where we free fly a hawk and a falcon. You can also add on an owl encounter to meet and work with our Great Horned Owl. You will be in awe of the hawks long flights through old oaks, rocks and graceful glides to you across open fields. Experience the falcon flying from your glove to soar on the edge of vast wilderness and returning again. To have a Great Horned Owl so close is captivating. Go in depth with our instructors to learn about the ancient art of falconry, raptor biology, and conservation. Experience up-close the difference of the species hunting and flight styles. Our team photographer will capture unforgettable images of you on your camera with stunning mountain and ocean backdrops. This experience is a deeper look into the world of falconry and these captivating birds! This class is offered at the Sky Falconry Ranch in Alpine September through mid-July. Book carefully and mark your calendar correctly. Due to limited availability, cancellations must be made by phone or via email no less than 72 hours prior to the scheduled class or class may be forfeit. Credits will be given for your class and may be used at any point in the future. We do not offer refunds or credits for "no shows." Gift cards are available. No cash refunds will be issued for unused gift cards. Upon booking, you will be sent a very important email. PLEASE READ IT and follow the driving directions to find us or you will get lost. Be advised, our dirt road is semi-rugged. A standard vehicle is fine. Due to the nature of the road, motorcycles and low riding vehicles are not recommended. Birds are not machines. Like humans, they have “off” days. While every effort is made to have the birds fit and ready to fly, we cannot guarantee the quality of flights as all birds fly as they do in the wild. Students must at all times comply with the falconer’s instructions and Sky Falconry regulations. Failure to do so will result in immediate dismissal from the class. Management makes every effort to complete the classes as described, but the varieties of weather, the health and disposition of our raptors and other externals beyond our control may make this untenable. Sky Falconry offers no refunds for situations beyond our control and reserves the right to cancel an event with short notice. Sky Falconry will reschedule classes in the event of these conditions at no additional charge. Waivers are required for each person and will be available upon arrival. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
