Class Description:
In our "Timeless Menus" classes we focus on enduring menus that have withstood the test of time. Probably our most popular topic is the French Chateaubriand Dinner. I mean seriously, who doesn't gravitate toward ordering this dish when dining out for a special occasion? Executive Chef Richard McPeake - graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, cookbook author and culinary instructor extraordinaire - is professional and passionate about teaching you how to prepare this long-standing menu in your own kitchen. You'll work in small groups and help prepare some of tonight's extraordinary dishes. The complete dinner menu highlights classics such as White Cheddar Potatoes, an Award-Winning Chocolate Nut Gateau and of course the celebrity of the evening - French Chateaubriand. A starter and side dish will be included as well. In the end we'll gather around the table and enjoy the elegant meal we've helped to prepare. What a menu. What a night.

Cancellation, Age & Waiver Policies

Prior to registration, if you or any member of the group for which you are registering is under 18 years of age at the date of the class, please contact The Culinary Center of Kansas City at cook@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455 to determine whether admittance to class will be allowed. There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class. I acknowledge and understand that I and all parties for whom I am registering will be asked to execute a written liability waiver prior to the start of the class and that this waiver is required in order to participate in the class.
