LEARN TO DRAW ANIME WITH 

COLORING ON CANVAS'S LET'S GET ANIME-TED CLASS!

Let’s Get Animated teaches all you need to know about becoming a successful manga artist! Manga is a Japanese art form much like the art comic books reflect, only in what we now call graphic novels. In this class, students will learn “anime” anatomy, which is more free form in its proportional aspects but still has the same “head to toe” measurement system that standard realism employs. From there, students will learn to utilize simple techniques to give their characters depth, personality, and movements such as shading, crosshatching, detail, and stippling. Story being a major aspect of bringing manga to life, we will be working on storyboarding, script writing, page sectioning and “bubble” flow. Beginner classes need only a pencil and paper, while in the intermediate and professional levels we will be using ink and coloring. Let us be the foundation on which your art grows!

Program Synopsis: Anime/ Manga Class (Let’s Get Animated!)

Age requirement 12 & up

For most of the year we offer Saturday workshops, in which students pay for and attend four consecutive Saturday classes; with the class being held every Saturday afternoon 10:00 am till 12:30 pm. 

• Each class is 2.5hr long
• Beginner Students only need to bring their sketch pads and pencils
• Intermediate and professional levels we will be using ink and coloring- which they can bring to class or purchase from us
  
• Also, students Must be ready to enjoy the world of Anime & Manga!!
