Want to try working with clay on a potter’s wheel? Come join us in this 8-week class and learn all the basics of throwing clay on a wheel. This class will meet once a week and cover everything from studio etiquette to each step of making successful pots. No experience needed so don't be nervous, if you are looking to try something new or get back into an old hobby this is the class for you! Included in the cost is everything you need while you are in class: basic pottery tools, buckets, clay and glazes, firing, discounted open studio opportunities.
Please bring a towel to wipe your hands and wear an apron/clothes you can get dirty (clay does wash out).
Part of the process in wheel throwing is basic studio etiquette. Your class time includes not only throwing, but also cleaning your wheel and surrounding floor area and clay tools that were used. Clay is messy - leave your watches and rings at home. A clean studio is a healthy studio as clay dust can build up.
