Paintin de Gullah Story

This is a 3-day acrylic and mixed media course in telling YOUR own story through painting, as done in Gullah Folk and Vernacular Art. The course will provide participants the study of Gullah and Gullah culture through the imagery of the sea islands. While references of lowcountry life will be represented in this course, the teaching artist will also discuss influences from lowcountry artists, such as Jonathan Green and Sam Doyle, focusing on the bold colors and vivid textural changes of these artists as students create their own canvas. #Event
