Class Description
Become the host with the most in this hands-on culinary adventure! Tonight's class will transform you into a confident entertainer, armed with an array of impressive and delicious appetizers that will wow your guests at any gathering. Your guide is longtime instructor Chef Richard McPeake. Chef Richard is the Retired Lead Chef Instructor of Kansas City Kansas Community College Culinary Center Chef Instructor for 20 years and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He has won countless awards throughout his career including 14 Travel Holiday Awards and 2 Four Diamond Awards for Food Excellence. Chef Richard will help you master the art of creating show-stopping hors d'oeuvres that balance flavor, texture, and visual appeal.
Starting off, we're making bruschetta with two toppings- spicy tilapia with gazpacho salsa and grilled shrimp with Royale sauce. Both elevate a basic bruschetta appetizer into a showstopper party favorite. Next, we're making a simple but flavorful shrimp skewer that packs a punch with red chilis and lime. No party is complete without a cheese station- Chef Richard has a gorgeous Sonoma Cheese Torte that is a crowd pleaser as much as a work of art. A homemade, creamy cheese blend is layered with a vibrant basil pesto topped with sun-dried tomato pesto, perfect layers of reds and greens make for an eye-catching holiday display. Tonight, we will be serving our torte with grilled flatbread.
Chef Richard is elevating your hosting game by giving you the guidance on preparing an epic charcuterie board that will be a hit whether it's a party of 2 or 20. Learn how to choose and balance your meats, cheeses, sweet and savory offerings to make a balanced and full board. Last is an old-school KC appetizer favorite: Chicken Spiedini with Amogio Sauce. This classic favorite is breaded chicken full of flavor served with an easy Amogio sauce for dipping or drizzling.

- Please enjoy a 10% discount on all items in our retail store during the full calendar day/night of your class or event. Our retail store will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
- We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
- This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.

If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
