Stars & Stripes Patriotic Decor:  Mom & Me Event!  

July 1, 2020 at Noon

 4th of July Theme for this Wooden Home Decor Project --Complete the Painting Project at our Art Studio then Take it Home & Decorate!   

(Adults Can Bring Children Ages 6 & Up to this One)  However, adults cannot stay to just watch--every person staying must paint with us.

Make your reservation at least 2 WEEKS in ADVANCE (by June 17) to allow us time to order special wooden supplies.  Reservations will close earlier if our available space fills sooner.

Beginner? --No worries.  Susan (our studio owner & professional artist) will lead everyone through each step of the painting process even though they'll have lots of options along the way!  

Cost?  $35 per Set of 2 Wooden Pieces (The set Includes one 6-Sided 3" Wooden Cube and one large wooden star for 1 adult and 1 child to share the set).  Add another star for each additional child if you are bringing more than one child.  $10 per star for each additional child.    Price includes acrylic paint supplies.   

Age Group?  Adults May Bring Children Ages 6 & Up, (You may leave when you finish even if it's earlier than others.)  Children Must be Accompanied by a Participating Adult to attend this event.

Questions about Sharing?  The adult will be given the wooden cube and children will be given wooden stars.   However, since the wooden cube has 6 sides & can be turned & rotated to display any of those sides, we recommend the parent allow/assist her child in painting a portion of the cube as well as the wooden star the child will have.  Susan will demonstrate great tips for painting methods that will help you with this process.  Adults may also assist children with their wooden stars.  (Older children will most likely want to paint independently.)

Can we Bring Our Own Drink? You're welcome to bring a water bottle with a secure lid.   No other drinks please.  (Water is easier to clean up after accidental spills & less damaging if it gets on the paintings.)

Do you accept credit/debit cards? Yes, in fact, because we have to pre-order supplies we don't normally stock at the studio, you'll need to use a credit/debit card to pay online as you make your reservation.  We don't have a "cash or check at the event" option for this specific event.  Thanks for understanding.

Parking?  Free & unlimited Parking in the huge Parking Lot between the studio and Lyman 1st Baptist Church.  (Only 2 hour free parking along the sidewalk in front of the studio, so you could use that option to unload people before you go park if you prefer.)

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:

1.   Please do not come early to class.  (We need time before & between classes to clean & set up supplies for class.)  Doors will open no earlier than 10 min prior to each class.  Please make sure other people bringing your child to class are aware of this policy, so they will not have to wait outside in the heat or rain.

2.  For safe distances in the classroom, Please remain in the lobby unless Susan has invited you into the classroom space.  Maintain safe distances while in the lobby.  

3.  We provide Hand Sanitizer as you Enter & Leave the Lobby as well as soaps at our sinks in the back.  

4.   We use 5' tables and normally seat 2 people per table; however, an adult may be able to sit with 2 children from their own family at 1 table -- or 1 child may be able to sit between 2 adults from the same family.  Please be sure to answer all the questions so we can plan our seating.

5.  Please do not bring children or adults to class if they have had a fever in the previous 48 hours.
