Class Description:

Each wine-growing area of the world has its own style and characteristics. Join professional wine educator Kerri Lesh, CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine, Society of Wine Educators) who will lead you on a “stay-cation” that will transport and educate you on the wines of Spain & Portugal. You'll begin class with a Cava tasting, the beautiful sparkling Spanish wine, then you'll learn about and explore some of the other amazing wines peculiar to these wine-growing regions such as Ribera del Duero, the Basque Country, the famous region of Rioja and more. Ever experienced a Portuguese Vinho Verde? Wait till you do! It is also customary to enjoy small bites along with the wines, so there will be some wine nibbles to accompany the wine tastings. Be prepared to take lots of notes as you learn from tonight's knowledgeable wine expert.

For all class registrations made after March 20, your class registration is non-cancellable and non-refundable. Should you be unable to attend, we suggest that you consider sending someone in your place. If possible, please let us know of any substitutions so that we can update our records. For all class registrations made prior to March 20, 2023, your registration is non-cancellable and non-refundable if your request to cancel is made within 72 hours of the start time for that class.
If (a) you’d like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes.
Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
For Adult Classes: you must be at least 18 years old as of the class date.
Unless otherwise noted in the class description, all Adult classes include one glass of beer or wine. Additional alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
Our Kitchen Shop Experience™ will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.

If you or any member of the group for which you are registering is under 18 years of age at the date of the class, please contact The Culinary Center of Kansas City at cook@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455 to determine whether admittance to class will be allowed. I acknowledge and understand that I and all parties for whom I am registering will be asked to execute a written liability waiver prior to the start of the class and that this waiver is required in order to participate in the class.
