Painting with Glazes

We will take a broad look at how to achieve painting effects with glazes.  We will study brushwork, layering to achieve a rendered appearance, resist, screen printing, and many other methods of painting with a focus on design and composition.  Some projects will be guided, while others will be your own ideas.  Bring a sketchbook for planning.  Techniques will be priacticed with Mayco's Stroke and Coats on low fire bisque, but can be applied to stoneware as well as other glazes and underglazes.  All materials will be included, but we'll talk about additional things you might want to pick up on the first day of class.
