We are committed to building positive self-awareness, innovative thinking, and the original expression of children. In our studio, we believe in cultivating the intrinsic creativity of every child. We highly regard the importance of providing all children with the opportunities to engage in imaginative art making, beyond the rote manufacturing of reproductions of predictable works of art, and instead, teach students to understand art making.
 
We offer a curriculum based lesson based on each age group.

We utilize a membership of one of the leading sources of lessons and curriculums for art teachers worldwide used by over 20,000 teachers! Our resources are designed to meet exact specifications and are exactly aligned with grade level expectations and skills.

We’re not teaching students to be the next Van Gogh. We’re teaching them to value art; to be able to appreciate it, understand it, as well as being able to express themselves through it.
That’s exactly what the standards ensure that students are exposed to; a well-rounded art education. Because in reality, art-making is just one component of teaching art.

The National Core Arts Standards, which is what we use to craft out lessons for the Art Studio breaks down the visual arts standards into four different categories; creating, presenting, responding and connection.

CREATING
This is the art-making process; it involves investigating ideas, planning your artwork, creating the artwork using artistic principles and reflecting on and refining artwork.
Creating is probably the category where we are targeting the most standards without realizing it, solely because our students are creating artwork and thinking about it.

PRESENTING
This category is all about how artwork is shared with others; selecting which piece to display, planning where and how it will be displayed and understanding why artwork might be shared in different places, like a museum or gallery.

RESPONDING
This is what we might typically think of art criticism, or talking about art; interpreting the meaning or purpose of a piece of art, evaluating artworks and analyzing the subject matter, materials and art concepts used.
The great news about this standard is that kids love to talk!
We give them the opportunity to talk about artwork in our studio, and we are pleasantly surprised with what they come up with.

CONNECTING
This is the thought process behind the art; connection the artwork to personal or imagined experiences, relating the art to the time and place it was created.
