Class Description:
The simplest way to fight chronic inflammation is by giving your food and lifestyle choices a make-over. There are so many whole foods and healing beverages that contain potent anti-inflammatory properties, and including these healing foods is one of the easiest ways to get rid of chronic inflammation. At 73, Chef Gary is a dedicated cyclist (last year, he completed the 475-mile RAGBRAI bike tour across Iowa), foodie, and healthy cooking guru who can show you how it’s done. He'll start by teaching you to make a creamy Southwest Avocado Dip that includes a special blend of anti-inflammatory ingredients. Then he'll share his trick for getting the most out of your food budget as he shows you how to prepare Wild Salmon Cakes with an Arugula Salad on the side, plus a slow-cooker quinoa and bean dish that can be made ahead so that you can enjoy it all week long. For dessert, how about Pumpkin Cheesecake that’s low-carb and grain free? Along the way, Chef Gary will discuss simple ways to streamline prep work, and provide you with helpful tips on cooking to reduce inflammation. These are recipes that are healthy and enjoyable for the whole family.

You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
