Class Description:
Let’s take an Indian food journey this evening with culinary instructor Sumana Dey as she shares her love of cooking and Indian cuisine. Tonight, she will teach us how to create dishes from various regions in India plus we will sample India’s one of the most popular desserts. Known for its aromatic spices and intense flavors, the foods of India present us with the opportunity to expand our palette and learn to cook in ways that will take our home-cooking to new levels. Sumana will walk us through a popular northern dish of Chicken Keema Kabobs with Mint Chutney. This dish will be served with Masala Chai. You’ll get to participate with some hands on practice for the kabobs! Next up, Palak Paneer served with Naan bread. And guess what,....you'll help with this one as well! Then we’ll travel to the west with Chicken & Potato Curry, a popular dish served in a ginger-garlic-tomato 'gravy' with potatoes and peas. It's addictive when served with plain steamed rice! We'll end our dinner with Rose Lassi, a sweet yogurt drink with the beautiful aroma of rosewater. It's a lovely treat that many haven't experienced. What a night of tantalizing flavors and aromas.

Prior to registration, if you or any member of the group for which you are registering is under 18 years of age at the date of the class, please contact The Culinary Center of Kansas City at cook@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455 to determine whether admittance to class will be allowed. There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class.
