Vibrant Expressionist Landscapes Acrylic Painting 4 Week Course Spring 2024

In this class students will learn about foreground, middle ground, background and layering/ overlapping to create depth. Students will learn and practice a variety of elements of landscapes- trees, rock, mountains, hills, sky, clouds. Students will put together a composition and paint their landscapes using elements of expressionism. This class is great for older kids, great for adults, great for the whole family!

Week 1-Paint Play
Students will receive guidance and instruction on the various elements of a landscape. Students will practice their trees, rocks, hills, mountains on heavy body paper.

Week 2- Canvas Prep
Students will design and sketch out their composition focusing on foreground, middle ground & background while also layering/overlapping elements to create depth. Students will begin painting.

Weeks 3 & 4- Work Time + Additional support
