Father's Day Electronics: Flashing LED

Special Father's Day Class!

Learn to solder small electronics together while making a battery-operated flashing LED for dad!  Before class, enjoy a lunchtime cookout!


Ages 16+ (Please indicate age of minors in the "Attendee" section on the registration form)


Level 1: No experience required. 

       Soldering is the process of joining two pieces of metal by filling the joint with solder, a metal with a lower melting point. In electronics, soldering is used to make a permanent connection
between components in a circuit. 
       In this class, you will learn how to solder electronics safely, about the types of solder used for electronics, and how to desolder a component. Finally, you will use soldering to build one small battery-operated flashing LED kit to take after the class.

Ticket details:

*One ticket includes Railroad Spike Knife (constructed by a pair of students together) and 2 seats at the Father's Day Cookout from 12-2p* Do you have an extra friend or family member that would love to join the cookout but isn't quite up to the entire class?

Additional tickets to the cookout are $25 per adult (10+) and $10 for children under 10 HERE.

The cookout will take place from 12-2p with additional activities 

Activities may include VR, card making, ping pong, and more. Activities are subject to change.
