Moroccan Dinner Party

There is no more romantic movie than Casablanca...Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman and their true love story, replete with spies, intrigue and murder.   A classic movie, sited in the most exotic cities we might imagine...Marrakesh, Tangiers, Casablana.

Morocco set an exotic stage for this '40s movie, and Moroccan food is both romantic and mysterious in its unique blends of spices...sweet, savory, complex.  Dinner will start with a cooling, minty salad, followed by a classic Tagine of spiced chicken and vegetables.   Traditional couscous, made with semolina, will be prepared with surprisingly sweet and tangy currents.  

This is a hands-on, interactive cooking class, with instruction in understanding Moroccan spices and seasonings, the traditional cookware used for Tagine, and the geographic sources and background of each dish.

-Sweet Orange, Mint & Olive Salad

-Moroccan Chicken Tagine, vegetarian option will also be available

-Couscous with Currants

-Turkish Bread Pudding with Cherries
