Being that we are located in a very old building, there are no elevators or escalators. The only way into the upstairs studio is to climb up 18 stairs. We are currently exploring options and funding to make this space more accessible for everyone.

In this class students will learn the foundations of drawing by learning the elements of art: Color, form, line, shape, texture and value.
Each week students will go through an imagery gallery, where they will be introduced to an artist from history and must learn, practice and complete the art skill to solve the artist themed puzzle!
Students will get to explore a variety of art materials to use in their drawings: Pencil, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, watercolor and marker.
To add variety to each puzzle, a dice roll may change the color, setting, style, texture or mood.
This is a fun class where the instructor uses the creative process of art to tell a story. Integrating collaborative storytelling, team problem solving, fostering social skills and inclusiveness. Let’s draw an adventure together!
For kiddos to explore freely, we have a policy that parents aren’t in the classroom. We’ve also found that without guardians in the classroom, students have space to create more organic relationships and connections with others in the class. Parents or guardians may bring their student to the space and help them feel comfortable up to 10 minutes prior to the class start time, then guardians may sit outside of the classroom in our common area space. This way they are reachable if something comes up and the student is assured you are close by.
