OLD LISTING Vitality Arts Open Studio

The open studio class gives adults a chance to come to the art center to work on their projects. You can bring your own materials or you can use ours. We will have an artist present to answer questions, give assistance, and provide materials. You can come every week or just stop in when you have the need.  

At Rumriver Art Center, we believe in the power of the arts and the important role they play in the lives of our students. The arts are valuable for not only the social and psychological benefits but also for health benefits. The Vitality Arts programs are designed to improve the health, well-being, and renewed sense of purpose for older adults.  

Examples of mediums you can use during the open studio time include drawing, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, mixed-media, and hand-built pottery. 

NOTE: This does not include use of the pottery wheels. To use the pottery wheel you must register for the pottery wheel open studio. You can find that on the pottery wheel classes page.

Dates: Every Tuesday
Time: 9am-12pm
Cost: $15/class (most materials are included; however, the use of some materials might have a material fee - if using RRAC materials, there may be project size limitations)
Ages: Classes are geared and designed to improve the health, well-being, and renewed sense of purpose adults ages 55+, but any adult can register.
