Drones 201: Build Your Own S3 Nano FPV Drone

Build and take-home your very own Nano-sized First-Person-View (FPV) Racing Drone!
Workshop includes your full Nano drone kit which you will keep!
- 1x nano FPV drone with custom 3D-printed frame
- 1x R/C radio with batteries
- 1x FPV goggles with battery and charging cord
- 1x Spare Parts Kit with extra propellers, batteries, etc.
- 1x Smart battery charger for 6 batteries
Please note: It is strongly recommended that you take Drones 101: S3 Nano Flying Experience prior to taking this class!
Tickets:Get your hands dirty while hacking together your Nano FPV Racing Drone kit during the first half of this 3-hour workshop. We'll cover everything from basic quadcopter mechanics and electronics to maintenance and troubleshooting. Then, strap-on your First-Person-View goggles and experience flying from the drone's cockpit with a live video feed from an onboard camera! Finally, compete with your fellow classmates for glory and bragging-rights on a two-story, LED-lit race course with a drone you built!
And don't worry, we'll cover lots of drone safety, flying etiquette, and best-practices to give you everything you need to fly and race.
Drones 201 is a great way to plunge into the Nano FPV Drone Racing world - you will LOVE racing indoors, which is also great practice for outdoor racing! You will earn your Nano FPV Flying Badge, which certifies you to race any future Nano FPV racing events at the Idea Foundry.
