Camp Description
We're ready for a snow day! Join us for our cozy winter baking camp for budding bakers ages 9-14. Your young pastry chef will gain hands-on experience learning to make a variety of sweet treats perfect for the winter season. Chef Catie will share essential baking tips like measuring, dough mixing and prepping, ingredient usage, and baking temperatures and equipment in a fun and welcoming environment.
Chef Catie will be showing us how to make classic cupcakes, starting off with learning to make our batter the perfect consistency for that perfect cakey texture. We’re then prepping a breakfast standard that every young baker can easily recreate at home- homemade biscuits. Simple ingredients come together to create a fluffy, flakey, layered biscuit- perfect with butter and jam-- a snow day must-have. We also can’t host a winter baking class without sharing a homemade cozy cocoa recipe that each student will take home. On Day 2 we are showing our pastry chefs how to create a yummy, twisted snowflake bread- a perfect winter treat. We’re also whipping up kitchen sink cookies- chocolate chip cookie dough with a variety of fun mix-ins. Last, we’re decorating our cupcakes with velvety frosting into snowmen.
Whether your child is a novice or has some baking experience, our camp provides a fun, educational, and tasty way to spend their winter break. Join us for a winter wonderland of baking fun!
Notes:
Please click here for a full description of our policies and FAQ’s. Finalization of your registration tells us that you have read and understand them. Below is a summary of some of the key information, but it is not all-inclusive.
- Please enjoy a 10% discount on all items in our retail store during the full calendar day/night of your child's multi-session classes/camps. Our retail store will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
- For multi-session classes and camps, we will gladly give you a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of the first class in the series and/or camp. Within three weeks of the start of a series, no refunds or credits will be given. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund. In the event your child misses a class in the series or camp, no refunds will be given and it is not possible to make up the class(es) in a future similar series. Likewise, once the series or camp has begun, no substitutions will be allowed since the series is designed for the classes to build upon each other.
- For Junior Chef (ages 9-14) classes and camps: Your child must be at least 9 years old as of the first class date (or as of the date of the first class of a series or camp) and no more than 14 years old. We reserve the right to check the age of your child. You must provide an Under 18 Waiver that is signed by a parent or legal guardian. Click here for a copy of the Under 18 Waiver. We encourage you to download, print, and sign the waiver and bring it to class with your child. If someone other than the parent signs a Waiver, they will need a legal document to be presented that shows without question that they have the legal authority to sign a Waiver on behalf of your child at that time. Without an appropriately signed Waiver, your child will not be allowed to attend the class. If someone other than the parent drops off your child and requests to sign on behalf of a child, they will need evidence that they are a legal guardian for that child. Please choose the class that is right for the developmental level and maturity of your child.
- If (a) you’d like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes. Please note that children on the same registration form will automatically be seated together.
- Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
