Welcome to Elements of Art and Fundamentals. A four week painting series for children 7-13 years old.
In this four part series, students will learn skills to help take their artwork to the next level. Building on the fundamentals while exposing students to a variety techniques- focusing on color mixing, blending and brush movement. We will learn about the elements of texture, form, value, and color while also exploring art history and culture.
Week 1: Portfolio Making and Introduction to Artistic terminology
Week 2: Color Theory and Sunset Paintings
Week 3: Composition and Value in Still Life Paintings
Week 4: Understanding Perspective in Paintings
This is a four week class series for children 7-13 years old. Classes will re-occur weekly on the same day. For example if you choose to start on a Wednesday, all classes will be on Wednesday. Please let us know if you need to make different arrangements and will do our best to accommodate!
