Learn the basic principles of making pottery on the wheel in this 4-week class. This class will meet Mondays & Wednesdays, for a total of 8 classes. Students will learn basic throwing skills, including how to make bowls and mugs, as well as different techniques for decorating their pottery. Ages 16 and up. No experience necessary. John Skelton will teach this class. The cost is $220 for non-members, $185 for members, and includes all materials and firings. Meets Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting October 12.
For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our classes will be held under the following guidelines:* Small class sizes: there will be no more than 6 people in a pottery class* Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are family or live together, etc.* Masks: students must wear masks at all times.* Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided and frequent hand washing will be encouraged.
