In this workshop, students will learn to bind in quarter or half leather. After sewing a textblock on cloth tapes and lining the spine, the primary focus will be paring leather using an English-style knife and Scharf-fix paring machine, and covering in goatskin with marbled paper sides.
Please bring the items on this supply list to the first day of class. There is an additional materials fee of $20-$40 for leather, paid to the instructor in class. Many of the tools and supplies for Continuing Education classes are available in our school gallery/store. Please call Kristen in advance to place an order or stop by during open hours to browse.
