Week 4 - Americana & Native American Art (POTTERY WEEK): Wheel throwing, clay hand-building, slab rolling: this week will focus on clay as a medium to create projects inspired by different art forms from Native American Art and Americana. We will use wood, glass, leather, string, beads, and more, to create unique masterpieces celebrating the art and cultures of North America. Campers will get to use the potter's wheel for a lesson in making their own small cup or bowl.
Each week of Joe Picasso’s Summer Art Camp will include fun projects like canvas and pottery painting, making mosaics, sculpting with clay, paper crafting, and glass painting projects! In addition to those projects each week has a theme that will include lots of creative games and art activities designed to let your child expand their imagination and learn fun new artistic skills!
