In this workshop, students will construct a common Japanese binding model, traditionally referred to as yotsume toji or 4-hole binding. We will build the model in a traditional manner while incorporating western tools and equipment. This workshop will provide a better understanding of the structure and the foundation for which to alter the number of holes and sewing patterns.

Date(s) and Time(s): Saturdays August 8 & 15, 10:00am - 12:00pm EST. Registration closes 10 days before class start (to allow for shipping time for kits).
Price: Sliding scale $100-$200.

To prepare for this class:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
- Purchase the items on the Tools and Materials list. You have the option to purchase and prep your own materials or order a kit at checkout. Tools are not included in the kit and must be purchased elsewhere. If you order a kit, please be sure to fill in your mailing address when you register.
This class will be conducted live on Zoom. Within a few minutes of registering, students will receive a confirmation email that includes a link and a password. Only registered students will be admitted. This class will be recorded and shared with registered students.
