In this 6-week class, adults will learn oil painting with artist Beth Smith. The class will focus on learning composition while painting still lifes. In the process, students will also learn about color theory, materials, and other topics unique to oil paints. This class is open to beginners with little painting experience, as well as intermediate artists who wish to improve their skills. The cost for the entire course is $180 for non-members, $150 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting April 19. Ages 16 and up.
For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our classes are currently held under the following guidelines:
- Small class sizes: there will be no more than 8 students in this class
- Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are in the same party.
- Masks: students must wear masks.
- Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided. Tools, tables, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized between classes.
- Health: participants are asked not to attend if they have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, or if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19
