Researcher's World at Mill River Park engages Stamford youth in grades 3-5 with hands-on interactive experiments created to inspire curiosity in science, while raising interest, participation, and achievement for all students. The Researchers’ World program utilizes Henkel’s sustainability-focused experiential science lessons to help equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in the STEM curriculum that awaits them in high school and beyond.
There is no cost to participate in Researchers’ World at Mill River Park. The Collaborative provides all materials, supplies, lunch and a snack. Transportation to and from the Park is not provided.
Sustainability Day
Students will learn the processes and importance of the 3Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. They will explore where everyday items come from and where they go when we’re done with them. In addition, students will test popular renewable energy sources – solar, wind and hydropower – and explore the impact of carbon emissions on the environment.
Students in grades 3-5 can be registered to participate in the program.
