Winter Clay Sampler Class

CLASS DESCRIPTION

 Welcome to the world of clay! In this class you will learn both basic wheel throwing and hand building techniques. The hand building techniques you will learn include pinching, coiling and slab building. The wheel throwing portion of class will focus on learning to center and throw small bowls and cups. Students will also learn basic decorating and glazing techniques. Every class will begin with a hand-building or wheel throwing demonstration or surface embellishment technique sure to give you ideas for making your pieces your own. This class is hands on! Come prepared to get dirty and make work. 

LOGISTICS

 Class fee includes clay, firing and a basic tool kit which you will receive on the first day of class. You are also welcome to bring your own tools! (Your class comes with 8 hours of open studio time to come in and practice what you are learning in class. More details about open studio times and logistics during the first week of class.)
