Art and Equine Retreat

Escape city life and experience a day like no other. Partnered with Spirit Winds Ranch, Raw Canvas offers you the opportunity to reconnect with nature, art, and yourself, through a day-long retreat. 

During the day, you’ll be working with horses from the ground, flexing your artistic muscles, and rediscovering the beauty of Alberta alongside expert guides and instructors (both human and horse.) This retreat includes a painting class surrounded by nature, a session where you learn to communicate and connect with an equine partner, and a guided hike through the valleys. 

You will: 

• Step outside the office and rediscover what it means to connect with your creative. 

• Gain a new, harmonious way of learning.

• Reconnect with the land.

• Develop new, artistic skills.

• Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty surrounding the ranch.

• HAVE FUN!

Schedule:

•  Be at Ranch for 10 am for check in; we will be starting at 10:15am

• 10:15am-12:15pm you will be with the horses. 

• 12:15-1pm we will break for lunch around the fire if weather is nice (story time)

• 1-1:45 we will do a guided hike (level easy)

• 1:45-4pm we will do a guided painting activity where you get to keep your art!

Things to bring:

• Pack a lunch

• And extra layers (its Alberta) 

• Sunscreen, as we will be outside

• Comfy walking shoes that you don't mind getting dirty

• Clothes that you also don't mind getting dirty
