During this in-person mini retreat series, any participant, over the age of 18, who self identifies as a woman will learn how trauma is stored in the body and how to listen to the response of physical symptoms as a way to healing and recovery. Each monthly session will provide different expressive arts techniques that support various psychoeducation components.
Cristina Oliver, MSW, LCSW, will lead you through understanding yourself, and the connection of mind, body, and soul. You will have the opportunity to practice grounding techniques that restore balance in your life. The group will engage in therapeutic expressive arts projects focusing on the representation of trauma and healing in the body. As you navigate through life’s challenges, join us in implementing self care in the moment and having a take away in creating a whole person care plan for success!
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring water, a snack, and a journal if you have one. (If you don’t have a journal, no problem! We will have paper on hand.). We will meet at The Artful Life, 142 Canal Street in Salem. All art materials will be provided. You don’t need to have any artistic experience to join us; simply come with an open heart and a willingness to heal and explore!
