Looking for a creative after school activity? This 8-week virtual course focuses on sketching in a sketchbook. Lessons will cover a range of mediums such as pencil, paints, colored pencils, pen and ink as well as collage and alterations. Subjects such as sketchbook spreads, composition, design elements, art history and much more will be discussed! This class is a great starting point to building an art portfolio for college, learning basic design principles or just to get inspiration for maintaining a sketchbook. Students will need to provide their own materials for this class. The following supply list is optional and materials used will be catered toward interest. No experience is required, just an interest in art! This course is structured towards teens, students have freedom in choice of mediums and subject matters with lessons focusing on guidance in compositions, inspiration, principles of design, and sketching techniques. This is a great homeschool or after school class option!

Mixed-media sketchbook
Pencils and erasures
Watercolor palette and brush
Colored pencils, crayons, or pastels
Markers or pen and ink
Permanent marker, thick and thin
Ruler, scissors and glue
