Sessions Held Monday-Thursday, 10am-12pm, Grades K-5
This week we’ll be traveling around the world (while staying in Point Pleasant!) We’ll learn about different cultures from all over the world and the different artistic styles they have, and create all types of art inspired by these cultures. From the bright and colorful tile art of Mexico to the simple and charming Scandinavian folk art, we will have fun creating all different types of projects and learning some things about art along the way. Our goal is to create fun, engaging projects that each student can put their own artistic flair on. Our instructors encourage each student to be unique and creative while in our studio!
During all of our camps we will work with a variety of art mediums- fired ceramics and clay, acrylics, wood, canvas, watercolors & more. Campers also receive a t-shirt to tie dye! All of our summer camps are open to students entering grades K-5 for the '23-'24 school year. They run for 4 consecutive days, Monday-Thursday, from 10am-12pm. Our drop-off camps are for kids only. We offer sibling discounts to students who live in the same household.
We take our camp instruction seriously at Wish- camps are designed and led by NJ state certified teachers, and are assisted by Wish team members who have been working with kids at our studio for years. We keep our class sizes small so that each student can receive the individualized attention they need! Some projects will be modified based on the campers grade, and sometimes campers may split up into different projects based on age.
Some projects will be brought home the day of camp; all fired projects will be ready for pickup at Wish 7-10 days after camp ends. We will provide smocks for each student, but it is best to send them in clothes that can get stained just in case! Each student should bring a water bottle with them to camp. Some activities may take place outside if weather permits, please put sunscreen on before camp and/or have your student bring a hat.
This camp is for students who will be starting kindergarten through 5th grade in September ‘23. If you have any questions about this, or would like to register a child of a different age, please reach out to the studio.
