In this 6-week workshop, adults with little or no creative writing experience will learn the basics of writing poetry. You'll get your creative juices flowing and learn how to express yourself through the art of poetry with different prompts focusing on free verse. With the help of published poet Hinda-Jonathan and the feedback of other students, you'll learn to write polished poems which you will have the opportunity to share. You'll also learn the skills to continue practicing and improving your poetry on your own. The class will conclude with the option to share your finished poems at a student poetry reading during National Poetry Month. The class will meet on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm, starting February 16. The cost is $60 for non-members, $50 for members. Ages 18 and up.
