Date Night Wheel Throwing Pottery Class

Location: Rumriver Art Center (wheel studio suite 102)

Here is a fun night for your and your date or friend! Come and learn a new skill together. This is a 2 hour class, where you will have the experience of getting your hands in clay and throwing pots on the pottery wheel. Your instructor will guide you through creating your unique pots. This is a fun experience to share with each other. You will get to keep two of your creations. We will then clear glaze and fire them and have them ready for you in 2-3 weeks to pick up.

All participants must bring a towel to wipe your hands and wear an apron/clothes you can get dirty (clay does wash out).

Part of the process in wheel throwing is basic studio etiquette. Your class time includes not only throwing, but also cleaning your wheel and surrounding floor area and clay tools that were used. Clay is messy - leave your watches and rings at home.  A clean studio is a healthy studio as clay dust can build up.

It is the participant's responsibility to check the Rumriver Art Center website (https://rumriverart.com/classes/clay-firing-and-pick-up/) to see when my clay projects are ready. Once the clay projects are ready, participants have 14 days to pick up their projects. After 14 days we will re-purpose any projects that were unclaimed.
