Where: Art Box Ceramics and Canvas studios inside of Eight Legs Gallery in downtown Waxhaw, NC
Workshop Schedule:
October 3 - Pottery Wheel Throwing: Watch a live artist demo on the wheel, then enjoy instructor-led practice time while creating a bowl, vase or cup!
November 7 - Ceramic Sgraffito Painting: Combine drawing and painting on a ceramic piece using the sgraffito technique of carving intricate designs into colorful layers of paint!
December 5 - Clay Sculpting: Create a hand-built mug from clay slabs while learning how to make a handle and decorate with texture tools.
January 2 - Canvas Painting: Create a unique-to-you canvas painting using an exciting buffet of mixed media supplies!
February 6 - Fused Glass: Experience the joy of fused glass art while making a standing votive using colorful glass and glass tools!
March 6 - Watercolor Painting: Combine drawing, painting and the elements of good design to create a colorful watercolor painting inspired by the environment around us!
April 7 - Needle Felting: This not-to-be-missed class will introduce your student to the fabulous world of fiber arts while creating a 3-D needle felting sculpture.
May 1 - Mural Painting: Work together in teams to design, sketch and paint a community mural to hang on our art fence at the Art Box.
Cost: $45/class or $360 for all 8 workshops. You can register for each class individually, but for the most well-rounded experience, we encourage your student to register for the entire series.
