Discover the fun of growing herbs from seed on your kitchen window! In this workshop, you'll assemble a cute mason jar filled with soil, drainage rocks, seeds, and everything else you need to make your herbs grow right in the mason jar. Just add water! You'll even learn how to hand letter a cute little tag for your jar. While you work, you'll learn about how to successfully grow your herbs indoors. At the end of the workshop, you'll take home two mason jars ready to grow herbs with your choice of herb seeds. Keep both or give one as a gift! This class will take place outside The 567 Center if weather permits. $30 includes all materials ($25 for members.) March 18, 6:30-8:30 pm.
This workshop will be led by Melissa Macker, executive director of The 567 Center and owner of Itty-Bitty Herb Farm.
For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our classes will be held under the following guidelines:
* Small class sizes: there will be no more than 10 people in a class
* Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are in the same party
* Masks: students must wear masks.
* Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided. Tools, tables, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized between classes.
* Health: participants are asked not to attend if they have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, or if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19
