In this 8-week class, adults will learn how to draw and paint from photographs and still lifes. They will learn the essential composition skills necessary to create a great work of art, along with how to work with oil paints. The first 4 weeks of the class will be spent on drawing skills, and the second 4 weeks will dive into oil painting. It will be taught by artist Beth Smith, an artist with years of teaching experience. The cost for the entire course is $240 for non-members, $200 for members, and includes all supplies. The class will meet on Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm, starting February 15. Ages 16 and up.
For the health and safety of our customers and artists, our classes are currently held under the following guidelines:
- Small class sizes: there will be no more than 8 students in this class
- Social distancing: participants will sit 6 feet apart, unless they are in the same party.
- Masks: students must wear masks.
- Sanitation: hand sanitizer will be provided. Tools, tables, and other frequently-touched surfaces will be sanitized between classes.
- Health: participants are asked not to attend if they have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19, or if they believe they have been exposed to COVID-19
