The student will learn how to dive into their Ipads or Tablets.
Using beginner techniques students will be able to create and explore new forms of digital art. Learning the basic of such programs as MediBang, ProCreate, and Clip Studio.. is like giving your child keys to new levels of their imagination.
This is a 6-week course (with 1 - one hour class per week)
- Week 1: Introduction to the tool of the apps. Coloring a project and using a variety of tools. Mimic Photos and using it in action with the Ipad and apps.
- Week 2: Coloring comic art using Clip Studio and taking it into Medibang to apply effects to it with different brushes
- Week 3: Sketching ideas for Final project, Shoot picture Reference if needed, Looking up a reference. Coming up with three ideas. Critique with Teacher to refresh and work up the final design
- Week 4: a review of the final layout. Begin work on Final piece using all the intro techniques we learned
- Week 5: Continue work for final artwork.
- Week 6: Present and discuss the final pieces to the class.
AGES: 10 & up
Required for class:
Hardware - IPAD/Tablet. Apple Pen or Tablet Stylus
Software/Apps -MediBang (Free app), ProCreate ($12 purchase in-app Store), Clip Studio (free for first 6 months from the app store)

A Graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a focus in Illustration, Mike is currently publishing over 50 comics with Short Fuse Media and Freestyle Komics and is a freelance artist for Marvel.
Mike has been teaching students from Kindergarteners to High Schoolers for well over 10 years. His unique brand of enthusiasm and love of the arts keeps kids engaged and entertained. His favorite question to ask is… “Do you know artist rule the world?”
