Intro to Laser Cutting & Engraving Trotec Orientation

Ages 16+

Learn how to use our 120 watt Trotec Laser cutting and engraving system. Students will get an overview of compatible materials including wood, plastics, glass, stone, leather, paper and textiles.

Students will learn: 

• How to set up raster and vector files for the laser effect desired.
• How to control & set up the machine and its rotary attachment. 
  
• How to go through the full process of laser cutting and engraving plastic and wood.
• Advanced options for marking materials such as anodized aluminum, brass and stainless steel will be addressed.

CIF Members who have completed this orientation may rent the machine for their personal or small business projects.
