October 3D Printing Club for Kids - Grades 4-8

Are your kids curious about 3D printing but are unsure how to get started?  This all-remote, month-long club is the answer to satisfy your kids' curious minds!

This club meets digitally twice a week for four weeks with each session being two hours long.

Learning objectives include:

• ​how to operate a Creality Ender3 3D Printer
• the basics of 3D modeling using TinkerCAD
• how to use Ultimaker Cura Slicing software

...put it all together and your kids will be 3D printing at home!

• Creality Ender3 Printer Lease (with option to buy)
• Enough filament for what will be covered in the class (and likely some left over!)
• A tool box with basic 3D printing tools

The October session of the Forge's 3D Printing Club starts Tuesday, 10/6/2020 and is every Tuesday and Thursday from 4p-6p through October!

Our club meetings will be hosted through Zoom, participants must have their own computers (each child per household will need their own computer) and their own Google Drive account.  Household discounts are available, email us at skills@forgegreensboro.org to inquire.

Due to the short-term printer lease, participants must be local to the Greensboro, NC, area or willing to travel for BOTH pick-up and drop-off of the printer & supplies.  Because multiple club meetings will focus on running the printer itself, we are not offering this club without the printer lease.

**A minimum of 5 students must be signed up for this club for it to happen.  Refunds will be given either the day of the first club meeting or the following business day if the minimum is not met.  Leased printers come fully assembled and are only available for local pickup and drop off.  Printers must be picked up the week before the club session starts and returned the week after**
