Acanthus leaves are the most frequently used motif in woodcarving. Baroque and Rococo are the two primary periods that most woodcarvers recognize and desire to emulate. Their bold, dynamic, and flowing designs challenge the woodcarver and visually mystify the casual viewer.

This class will guide students through carving a stylized acanthus leaf.
