Clay hand building for teens

Starting Friday July 8th and every Friday remaining in July, Nellie Dog Pottery and Paints will be hosting a clay hand building camp especially designed for our teens.  In this class we will hand build 3 projects made out of clay and while doing this we will talk to the kids about types of clay, hand building techniques, texturing, clay room equipment, tools, and kilns.    Our first two projects will be wind chimes and a mug.  In the third class the kids will be given the artistic freedom to pick their own clay project to design and build. Our last class will be spent talking about glazes and glazing each of our hand made clay projects   

Whats included:   Each child will be provided with a basic clay tool kit.   It will contain all the essential tools needed to hand build with clay.   This kit is theirs to keep.   They will also be provided with enough clay and glaze to complete each project
