To prepare for this class:
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
- Gather your tools. You will need the following: scissors or clippers, masking tape, stapler, and water (in a sink or bucket to soak reed).
- Purchase a materials kit at check out. Please be sure to fill in your mailing address when you register. The kit includes a wood stool 10x13x13" (unassembled) and 7mm thick cut flat oval reed. All kits will ship 10 days before the start of class.
- Prepare your stool: Assemble using wood glue at least 24 hours before the start of class. If you would like to paint or stain your stool, please also do so before class.
- Prepare your work area: It is common to weave while standing, however, it can also be done seated at a low table or platform. To prevent your stool from slipping while you work, put down a towel or yoga mat. Your work area may get wet, please use caution if you are standing on a surface that may get slippery.
- Read through the class outline before class.
