Join us at Art Escape for the hottest party around. Our instructors will teach you the art of blowing and shaping molten glass into German style ornaments and plant watering globes using a torch.
Plan on having everyone in the party here on time. At the beginning of the event, we will do a live demonstration that they are not going to want to miss. After the demo we will let everyone have glass blowing fun. No previous experience required!
Remember to bring any food, beverages, cups, plates and utensils you will need. Event will have a reserved section for food, beverages and gifts. Guests will have the chance to sip, much and mingle with friends and co workers while rotating through blowing glass with our glass instructor. The instructor will do a demo at the beginning of the party and have a table set up for people to rotate through blowing glass.
Event will have 24 glass blowing tubes for group to share (divided between however many people attend ) and an assortment of colorful glass frit to personalize your creations. It may take a little practice, but after a very short time you will be making some lovely one-of-a-kind handmade ornaments! Even though your group is given 24 glass tubes to practice with you might not end up with 24 ornaments due to needing practice.
Clothing: Please wear cotton clothing that sleeves can be pulled up. Closed toed shoes and have hair tied back.
Projects will be annealed in our kiln and ready to pick up the following week on Friday. Not responsible for projects left longer than one month.
Age 9 and up: Children aged 9 and upwards must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Whenever someone under 16 is on a torch we will only have one torch running at that time.
Torches are shared.
Cost - $480 pays for up 24 glass ornament tubes. Additional sold at the event if time allows for $16 each.
