Chinese Dumplings, Steamed & Fried
In China, "dumpling" means wealth. It is said that eating them aligns you with a prosperous life.
We'll demonstrate how to make the simple dough featuring rice flour, wheat flour, and water.
You'll make the pork and vegetable filling, then fill, seal, and steam in a traditional wok bamboo steamer. You can also create potstickers by pan frying one side of your dumplings.
You'll learn multiple styles of pinching your dumplings, or you can use the provided hand press. Lastly, you’ll make a tangy, salty and sweet dipping sauce (with more than enough to take home, too).
