Learn the basics of designing and making small accessories out of finished leather. Class attendees will make and take home 2 small accessories- experiencing leather stamping techniques, assembly and hand stitching.
This is a one day, 3 hour session for absolute beginners to be introduced to handcrafting small projects out of leather. We will cover the use and type of leather, and how to design a practical small accessory. This includes discussing a design or sketch and making a pattern. We will cut out the parts, learn about simple decorations on finished leather. This may include small amounts of acrylic dye, and or embellishment. Glue up, assembly and some stitching may be required. Class participants will be able to take one item home with them.
**There must be at least 2 participants for this class to occur. If 2 are not signed up, refunds will be initiated by the organizer no later than the Monday after the scheduled class date.**
