Owl Encounter

Sessions Held Friday through Monday

Spring/Summer: 8:00-9:30am 
(April-October) 

Fall/Winter: 9:00-10:30am
(Early November-March)

Owl Encounter: $75 (ages 9+), 1.5 hours

Learn the facts about the most primitive raptor on the planet, their role in the environment, natural history, conservation its habitat and how falconers have related to this enigmatic bird in the past as well as the present. 

See all of our owls up close in this amazing owl encounter class. Guest will be able to glove up and have at least one of our owls fly to them. Plenty of opportunities for pictures as well as portrait-style photos. 

This program has been developed by popular demand by our past clients and now we are offering it as an event perfectly suited to the summer when our hunting hawks and falcons are usually resting from a busy season.

Our falconers take their time explaining intimate details and facts about birds of prey and what it takes to be a falconer. During our programs we do our best to offer an on-hands experience while maintaining a safe environment for everyone and the birds. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions and participate only if they feel comfortable. You will notice our class times vary by an hour during parts of the year due to the time change affecting the daylight required to fly our birds. Please book accordingly.

What to bring: 

1. No pets are allowed under any circumstances for the safety of our birds. 
2. Closed toed shoes and a drink are recommended. 
3. An open mind and willing hands!

Please book your appointments very carefully. We do not give refunds but will apply a credit to a gift card to be used in future events given 48 hours notice of cancellation. All sales are final. This policy applies to West Coast Falconry’s cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone or email to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.

2 – 6 participants. Remember – you book at your own risk. In order for us to present this class, we need a minimum of 2 participants. If we do not meet this minimum, you will be issued a credit to book at a later date. We will notify you within 10 days of your class if we are not able to meet our minimum.
