Welding & Metal Bandsaw Orientation: Bookends

Learn how to cut, grind and MIG weld while making a simple bookend in this introduction level and tool orientation class. We will learn how to assemble and weld simple but attractive bookends while learning the fundamentals of welding. Students will be learning to tack weld, fully weld, grind edges and welds smooth, and plasma cut into metal.

Plan Your Visit

All materials and safety equipment supplied.  Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to participate.  Natural fiber clothing, such as cotton or denim, and sturdy footwear (e.g. tennis shoes or boots) is recommended. Plan to arrive for class about 10-15 min early and check in at the front desk.  Our main entrance is on State Street, with parking lot entrance on State St. as well. IF parking and street parking available.
