We will walk you through the parts of turning a fine pen. Once the wooden planks have been turned and finished, we will walk through the steps of assembling the pen

Tool Clearance
The lathe room and any of our spindles tools (gouges, chucks, centers, etc..)
This does not clear you for bowl and vessel use on these lathes
(Idea Foundry workshop members who have taken this class are cleared for independent use of these tools in the shop. Learn more about membership here.)

Plan Your Visit
All materials and safety equipment supplied. Closed-toed shoes, natural fibers (cotton, denim, linen), with long hair pulled back. Plan to arrive for class about 10-15 min early and check in at the front desk. Our main entrance is on State Street, with parking lot entrance on State St. as well. IF parking and street parking available.
